A word about Chocolate

If a man wants to get on the right side of his woman a box of chocolates will hit the spot everytime. If a woman has her eye on a spangly new dress a strategic smearing of the lovely warm stuff will see it almost hers, and probably the matching shoes and handbag if she offers her man a bib and a break.

Of course this is nothing new. Chocolate has been used as the sweetest of currency since time began and it's reputation as the ultimate aphrodisiac is legendary. Would Casanaova have been the love machine he was if he didn't truly believe in chocolate's romance enhancing properties?

When Christopher Columbus brought cacoa back to Europe in 1502 he immediately gained favour with King Ferdinand, Thomas Jefferson saluted chocolate's heath giving and fatigue fighting properties, and there has never been any rock solid evidence to back up claims that chocolate rots your teeth, makes you fat, or gives you zits.

But like all things there is a possible downside. Moctezuma drank fifty plus cups of "chocolatl" everyday and had his Aztec empire smashed by the Spanish, so there are no guarantees.
