Caramelized onion gravy has a particular affinity for anything that is served with mashed potatoes.Ingredients:1 pint of gravy ½ pint red wine or ale ½ pint caramelized onions (method here) salt and ground pepper to taste Method: 1. The hard work is done when the onions are made. Simply place a saucepan over a high heat and add the booze. Stir in the onions and gravy, simmer for five minutes, season and serve. I gave the option of red wine or ale as it depends on what you are serving the gravy with.
